Vioxx?
Vioxx (rofecoxib) is a COX-2 inhibitor commonly prescribed
to patients suffering from arthritis, acute pain, and painful
menstrual cycles.
Did the FDA recall Vioxx?
No. Vioxx was voluntarily withdrawn from the market by its
manufacturer. Although the FDA was investigating reports
of cardiovascular problems, it did not force the manufacturer
to recall the drug.
